Own a piece of history! This Air Compressor Jacketing was installed during the common-carrier era of the East Broad Top Railroad on steam locomotive #16. 16 was returned to operation in 2023 after 67 years of dormancy. During recent restoration efforts the jacketing was replaced, and a new jacket installed. This jacket was not replaced during the rebuild of locomotive #16 from 2020 to 2023, and is believed to be the original jacketing it wore during the common-carrier era.
Jacketing measures 28" by 16" inches. Jacketing has a noticeable warp to it as to mold to the outside of the air compressor.
Comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by Master Mechanic David Domitrovich.
This air compressor jacketing is now available for you to own! Please note: this is a piece from a steam locomotive, and as such is coated in a fine layer of film/grease/oil/coal/etc from regular wear and tear. These items are not meant for re-use, but for the true East Broad Top / railroad collector.
